Turkish computer Network Engineer Tuncay drove superbly to pass with just two minor faults.
After his test at Ayr, Tuncay said: ‘I’m delighted to have passed my UK driving test.’
Tuncay, currently living in Saltcoats, added: ‘Just wanted to thank you for teaching me how to properly drive, Mark! Many thanks!’
Catering student William Tattersall, of Largs, got the New Year off to a fine start when he passed his driving test at Irvine.

Jordan Wong completed an excellent 2017 for Mark Grundy School of Motoring which saw 18 pupils earn their driving licences.
Student Jordan, from Kilwinning, produced a superb drive to pass with just two faults at Irvine.
His success followed that of Natasha Carron, from Largs, who passed first time at Greenock.
Natasha, currently studying for a Masters degree in Hydro Geology, said: ‘I am so pleased at passing first time.’
And the 21-year-old added: ‘I wouldn’t have accomplished this without Mark’s calm and patient manner in the car.
‘I learnt more about the car and road craft than I needed for the test, which made me even more confident.
‘I would recommend Mark to anyone thinking of learning to drive.’

She said: ‘I wouldn’t have passed first time without the encouragement and guidance from such a patient instructor.’
Earlier in the year, Lauren Paterson, Conor Reid and James Carrey delivered a hat-trick of first-time passes at Irvine test centre.
Lauren, from Fairlie, produced a superb drive to pass with just two faults.
Test success is a big boost to Lauren´s bid to become a professional photographer. She said: ‘Mark truly was an ideal driving instructor for me and knew how and when to push me to get the best possible results.’
Conor, from Saltcoats, did brilliantly to conquer his fears and pass his test at the first attempt.

Computer expert James Carey, from Lochwinnoch, had to deal with the added pressure of a second examiner in the car but held his nerve to deliver a great drive - passing first time with just three faults.
James said: ‘l can´t recommend Mark highly enough. His fantastic sense of humour will have you learning with a smile on your face from your first lesson to the day you pass your test.’
Student Sam Brown also passed at the first attempt - and he too had an extra examiner in the car.
Though the examiner was checking the handling of Sam´s test rather than his drive, the presence of another person in the vehicle still ramped up the pressure he felt.
Sam, 17, from West Kilbride, said: ‘I´ve never felt so nervous.’
Earlier this year, Steven Cassidy passed with ZERO faults.
Lifeguard Steven, aged 19, from West Kilbride, said: ‘Training with Mark made me become more confident with every lesson.’
